Gone are the days when the meaning of ERP needed explanation. Today more and more enterprises are moving into deploying ERP solutions. Even the SMEs (small and medium sale enterprises) are reengineering their processes. Statistics show that 40-45% of IT spending is from SME segment.
But for a SME selecting the wrong software can be a complete disaster. A wrong decision could lead to this disaster. But if one has to make a right decision where does one get information from? Can there be some general tips which will help the process of selection? Can there be advices from the experienced?
What about a decision without or with limited choice. This may not lead to disasters but will force acceptance of a system. Can there be a platform where the choice is available? Can the buyer feel the 'freedom of choice?'
After the launch of iPOTT we were concentrating on propagating iPOTT as a 'web site for all software' in India, during the last few weeks, Beginning this month, along with the general propagation of iPOTT, we will be concentrating on 'one product area' every month. The 'one product area epoch' will aim at targeted marketing.
The 'PRODUCT area EPOCH' will be the jargon of the month, e.g.: if our product area of the month is ERP, the month will be the ERP EPOCH. Our mailers, our discussion forms, our promotional materials, our direct marketing, our online PR etc etc, will talk about the same 'product area'.
We will be inviting experts and users from the market to share their experience. We intend to bring focus on 'need' and 'availability' of products from the 'product area' and create demand rather than fighting the existing. We will get more products, from that 'product area', displayed on iPOTT. We intend to give you buyers who are not snatched from your rivals, but who have walked in to get your product, after choosing from other similar products.
It will be beneficial for the Promoters who have software falling in the 'product area'. You are welcome to take advantage. You can ask your 'happy users' to write to us during the month. The positive response from your 'users' will get displayed on our website and can be a reference point for your software
This 'PRODUCT area EPOCH' will be the right time for Promoters to list the software, for upgrading software…. for ‘showing off’ and of course to get maximum exposure. Write to us now
