Making India shine

Celebrating 60th year of Indian independence lets glorify our past, adore our present and pledge to make India shine in every facets.>We have a lot to be proud of, in our history, from Aryabhatta, Thakshashila, Vedas, Sushrutha, Indus Valley civilization, Ayurveda, our Freedom movement, Mahatma Gandhi, and .... we can go on and on. It is time to glorify our past and feel proud to be an Indian.Today, as we celebrate our 60th Independence Day, we can add a number of other reasons to be proud of

• Our growing economy
• Our booming industries
• Our increasing per capita income
• Our progressive businesses
• Our IT Industry.... Imagine a 25% growth for an industry which never existed before 1990.

Let me talk a little more on IT industry - In a recent NASSCOM presentation one of the speakers began his talk with a slide 'THANK YOU' - a simple thank you. It was meant for the software industry. The face of the nation has changed due to this. India is in the global map because of the IT. Infosys / Narayan Murthy, Wipro / Azim Premji, TCS and all other success stories - so many reasons to make us proud.

IT industry and software exports are expected to touch the $50 billion market in 2008. This is thrilling, but we proudly feel more thrilled about the $32 billion local market. Indian internet usage and work quality is on the upsurge. Surely heading to make India shine in many facets.

We at iPOTT want to play our small role in making India shine. Let's meet in 2008 to gauge our achievements.
