Benchmarking
Benchmarking is a systematic process for identifying and implementing best or better practices. The “systematic process” involves following a number of benchmarking steps. iPOTT is constantly looking for new ways and methodologies to improve performance and gain a competitive advantage. Adopting a structured and rational process has enabled us to improve, to identify, understand and adapt best practices helping us achieve significantly enhanced levels of performance.
Google has done analysis / comparison with websites which are similar in size to iPOTT to the following values for the last 30 days
- Visits : A visit happens when someone come to our site. A visit is also a series of requests from the same uniquely identified user with a set timeout, often 30 minutes. A visit contains one or more page views.
- Page Views : The average number of page views a visitor views before ending their session. It is calculated by dividing total number of page views by total number of sessions and is also called Page Views per Session.
- Pages Per Visit : The average number of pages a visitor visit the site on a particular day.Our users views close to 3 pages which is 4.35% more than the benchmarked figure
- Bounce Rate : The percentage of visits where the visitor enters and exits at the same page without visiting any other pages on the site in between.
- Average time on site : Average amount of time that visitors spend on the site each time they visit. Our users spend around 4 minutes on iPOTT which is 105 % more than the benchmarked figure.
- New visit : A new visitor who is visiting our site for the very first time.
