Our Trip To mekedatu on 19th April 2008
A Great fun in 'Kaveri'.
We, I mean our 'iPOTT' team were planning to go for outing since many months but we didn't decide where we are going. As soon as we got the warning from maam, that we decide the place or we will cancel the trip. This made us think seriously to choose the place and after a long discussion with the team we decided to go to 'mekedatu'.
Why it is called so? Because their is a tale that goat used to jump from one end to the other to cross the river.
After it was decided we started planning, like how to go, what are all the things we need to take and all sort of masti and maja. With great enthu everybody started preparing for the trip. For this great trip we were provided caps with 'iPOTT ' logo . We booked a mini bus and we were told to reach office exactly at 6am.
And on that morning 99% of the team reached on time and we left the office at 7:30am.Sandhya our colleague started preparing the pooja for bus so that our journey should be safe and good.This way we started our day.As we started our jouney we felt like we should play something and we started playing 'Antakshari' and everybody sung so well wih their good and bad voice.As we felt hungry during the journey we made sandwiches for the team and enjoyed it. Since all of us woke up early in the morning for the trip we felt drowsy and some of them were sleeping and some were watching around each other.
And finally we reached Sangam. We parked our bus and started walking for mekedatu holding foodstuff bags. We started walking and we crossed sangam river were water was very less to play and from here we started our journey for 'mekedatu'.The day was so hot that we got tired very soon but as it was a trip enthu the walk didn't go down. We took some rest and then reached the place 'mekedatu' and after seeing the place our enthu came down because their was no place to play in water, since it was very dangerous to go close to the water. We haulted their for half an hour and had snacks and decided to go back to sangam and play.We were so tired but even then we started walking but a good thing happened that one of our colleague found a very good place to play in water. And all of us went their for playing and that became our place where only iPOTT team was enjoying & playing, we had lots of masti and maja. We almost enjoyed for more than three hours.
After that we again started our journey back to office while coming back our Ma'am gave surprise gifts to our colleagues who completed one year in iPOTT.
And this way we enjoyed that day with great fun in 'Kaveri' river.
